OL Tegra Tshabola (Official Thread)

I had to say something about Tegra because Tegra's film is a lot of fun to watch

Aggressive run blocker who gets off the line and downfield quickly (didn't see much film of him in pass pro). Brings the juice. Quick feet and blocks up to & beyond the whistle. I like Tegra a lot and excited to have him in S&G

My amateur view on seeing Tshabola live:
A freaking mountain of a kid! I mean he his large! It's hard to really critique a HS OL with his size, because for most of the game he dominated, but most of it was based on the size advantage. He bit on a few speed moves(one swim move and then a spin move a quarter later), but his man still didn't get the sack. He looks pretty good in pass pro, but like most HS OL, going out and laying out a defender in the run game was where he looked his best. But I wonder how hungry he'll stay all season, when this will probably be the most skilled and closest in size of any team that he may face all season until the playoffs.

Dating back to our Top247 rankings audit in October of this year, no one has seen a more meteoric rise in their individual ranking than Ohio State signee Tegra Tshabola. At 6-foot-6 and 350-pounds plus, Tshabola possesses a rare combination of size and athleticism that is unique to the tackle position.

Among many of the physical characteristics that caught our eye with the Lakato West standout, it’s Tshabola’s unique agility for his size that intrigues us the most. Possessing excellent foot and body quickness, Tshabola is more than a wide frame on the offensive line, but a very sound pass protector with a combination of power in the run game.

If the big man continues to carry his performance over from his senior season onto the playing field this week, there’s no box he doesn’t check physically to keep him out of the five-star race.
