OL Justin Boren (Official Thread)

guys, guys, guys. You're all missing the point. You see, Justin was actually a spy. Ya, I said it; a spy! Tressel actually sent him up to Anal Arbor, in a corvette, to sabotage the regime of LLLLLLLoyed. Obviously it worked. However, Dick Rod could spot a spy and kicked his ass out before Justin could do anymore harm. Unfortunately, Justin's 2 years at Michigan were enough to wreck the entire 08 and 09 seasons. Now, Michigan is gonna take revenge on Justin and the Ohio State Buckeyes behind the ever powerful Forcier, who is now up to 180.6 (Pounds) under Barwissssss!!!111eleventy!1!!!

GPA?

His decision to leave Michigan clearly has paid off, and this fall Boren will try to help Ohio State win its first national title since 2002

His decision to leave Michigan has clearly paid off? No shit?

I suppose there have been two, maybe three, players that would've cracked our two-deep if they had followed Boren's lead. But without question, anyone who has left UM the past two years has made a decision that has clearly paid off.

Maybe it's the beer talking, but I think I have a sound argument here.

Yes, but remember - imaginary championships are practically guaranteed, and I hear TSUN is planning on winning at least one, if not more, this football season.

How the mighty have fallen.

Realistically, what's UM's chances of even qualifying for a bowl game this season? This, of course, is a topic for one of the "College Football" threads, but one has to wonder... Does UM end the season over .500?

Let's make this post relevant: Justin Boren, you are freakin' awesome. I respect you, your brother, and your parents. Always do the right thing, even if it seems too late. Go Bucks!

No. 44: Ohio State G Justin Boren

THE PARTICULARS: 6-3/320, Sr.; Pickerington (Ohio) High

THE BUZZ: Boren is a strong, physical combatant who excels at mauling in the middle. He brought a much-needed edge and toughness to the Buckeyes’ front en route to earning All-Big Ten honors. Boren made headlines in 2008 when he transferred from Michigan to OSU; he is only the third player to play for both schools. Boren was an honorable mention all-league pick at Michigan in 2007.

Obviously the last line in this article is what TSUN fans meant when they said Justin wasn't a 'gamer'.

"Guys bring X-Box's, they bring their TV's, mini-fridges. Guys bring everything," said senior Justin Boren, who enters his last camp as a collegiate football player.

"It's definitely an exciting day for me. Everything you do as a senior seems like your last. Your last camp, last season-opener, last time playing in the Shoe. It just goes so quick, you have to appreciate every day and try to get better."

All Boren needed for his last camp was his phone, his laptop computer and some boating magazines, which makes him one of the more simple guys on the team. A few admitted to bringing books, but most are hoping to avoid the electronics 'black-out' that was issued by the coaches during last fall camp.

"I hope not," Boren said of the black-out.

"I'm going to do what I can as a senior to make sure that doesn't happen."

With those boating magazines as a backup plan, Boren might change his mind after the first week or so of camp of living with assigned roommate Corey Linsley.

"Corey brought X-Box, so I've got a feeling half the team's going to be in my room playing whatever they play," Boren said of the redshirt freshman from Youngstown Boardman.

"I don't play video games, so I don't even know what they play on those things."

?There should be no reason why it would take a couple of weeks,? Boren said of offensive consistency. ?Hopefully, we build off last season and keep getting better.

?I?m expecting great things from Terrelle. He is the most capable athlete on this team. ... I think he?s definitely capable of starting where he left off last year. Terrelle is an insane athlete.?

The Buckeyes report to camp having listened to an offseason of predictions and pundits putting them in the national championship game at the end of the season.

What makes the start of camp different this year than many recent beginnings is the way the season ended. The Buckeyes broke a three-game BCS bowl game losing streak by beating Oregon in the Rose Bowl.

That is one of the reasons Ohio State is a preseason top-five team.

?In the end, rankings don?t play anybody, we do,? linebacker Brian Rolle said.

?Preseason rankings don?t mean a danged thing,? Boren said. ?The end is what matters. I?d rather be ranked higher in the postseason than in the preseason.?

Blocker has to be talker
Tressel wants Boren to do more than just his line assignments

Justin Boren started 12 games last season, but coach Jim Tressel hopes the stoic senior can be better at communicating with his teammates.

On the surface, Justin Boren fits the stereotype of an offensive lineman - big and thick, usually with a scowl on his face that says, "Go away."

The guard certainly is talented enough physically. After transferring from Michigan and sitting out a year, he started 12 games at left guard last season for Ohio State.

But there's more to playing the line than that.

"I think Justin has really got to improve from a communication standpoint," coach Jim Tressel said. "Justin likes to just go block somebody, and sometimes he forgets there's 10 others. So he's got to get better at that."

In other words, Boren needs to be fluent in a language other than grunt. Maybe that's why Tressel chose Boren as one of six players to chat with reporters yesterday as players reported to preseason camp (practice starts today).

"I guess that's something I'll work on this camp," Boren said.
