OL Jamarco Jones (Detroit Lions)

I'm with MD...I'll say he sticks. My only logic is that (speaking from what I've seen in the past) if he was going to flip, he would have at least publicly decommitted from OSU following his MSU visit. Traditionally when we see this kind of late visit, a public decommitment followed by a verbal to the new suitor typically comes fairly quickly (see: Taylor, Brady). Seeing as though he has never backed off his OSU verbal, I think he signs with the good guys.

Much like the hero worship of Bollman now that he's part of a negative narrative (and a fictional one at that) , it is interesting to see how legendary Jamarco is as a recruit now that he too may become a negative topic.

In the fall there was chatter wondering whether he was a true tackle. Now that he's potentially slipping away it is a colossal loss of a pure tackle and the guard chatter is non existent.

It's because Jones is the one Tackle in the top 20 on our board we offered that didn't flip us off.
He is also may begoing to a team that bat us, is in our conference, with a coach (Bollman) that preside over a scorched earth policy wth regards to OL recruiting.
And on the heels of last years "monste haul" of 1 OL.

Your a smart guy, certainly you understand the nuainnse.

I just find it alarming that in a year we lose 4 starters on the OL and last years "haul" totaled 1, it would be such a struggle for Ohio Freakin State and Urban Meyer.

Last minute drama is so interesting. I am guilty of placing sometimes undue importance on the last few unknowns at the end of a cycle. But I think the reality is that we're talking about the icing on an already outstanding cake. I don't mean in any way to suggest that I don't want the final couple gets, or that they wouldn't be good adds; but when I look through the commits in this class, I feel that we've secured the kids I would truly hate to lose. Sounds sour grape-ish, but it's not insofar as we haven't lost anything. Just saying I have to remind myself that the last minute anxiety is artificial and misleading because it can eclipse what's already been accomplished.

On that note I think I'll go check Jamarco's twitter page again.

1) I enjoy rankings and find them to be a solid overall metric.
2) OL are so hard to project and coaches let alone recruiting sites miss constantly. The physical transformation is just so extreme.
3) OSU has a phenomenal OL coach who was stolen from ND to elevate osu's line to legendary levels.
4) I prefer that osu gets all of their primary targets. If there was ever a position to take a wait and see approach it would be OL.

ah yes, the ultimate scapegoat turned hero Bollman. The guy who took a job demotion I'm responsibilities at BC and another similar move at MSU. The guy who is only allowed to assist with coaching the line or setting up the offense. Maybe we can get him back. He certainly didn't exhibit the same recruiting weaknesses without the high level of execution (due in large part to his poor schemes).
