Billy Price, OL/DL (Youngstown, Ohio/Austintown Fitch)
Price is already drawing interest from Ohio State and showed why on Saturday. The 6-3, 268-pound sophomore displayed rare athletic ability for a lineman (Price started at left tackle and played some defensive end last year), clocking a very impressive 5.01 40-yard dash and 4.62 shuttle time. He also threw the power ball 36.5 feet and finished with a SPARQ Rating of 79.44.

Austintown Fitch sophomore Billy Price throws during the discus finals at the Division I regional championship meet at Falcon Stadium. Price advanced to the state meet with a second-place finish.

AUSTINTOWN

Ali Tolich lay in the grass next to the discus area and watched as Austintown Fitch teammate Billy Price made his throws. For for one brief moment, the outline of the disc crossed over Tolich.

It may have been the first time in her high school career where she was in someone else?s shadow.

Tolich and Price each punched their tickets to Columbus by earning top-four finishes in the shot put and discus, respectively, on the first day of the Division I regional track finals at Falcon Stadium on Wednesday. It?s par for the course for Tolich, the reigning state champion in both the shot and discus, and the first time for Price.

A sophomore, Price said he couldn?t believe it when he saw that he had earned a second-place finish.

?Getting another week is a great feeling,? he said. ?You work all year for this, so it?s a sense of accomplishment, and it feels great.?

Fitch throwing coach T.J. Koniowsky said he may have been the most surprised by Price?s success.

?I wasn?t expecting anything out of him this year, because he only threw 138 [feet] last year and had never done it before,? he said. ?And when he started catching on, and I looked at this region and thought this kid could do something.?

Thought he'd be a DT.

Moves very well for his size.

Him and Lovell could be an amazing interior duo though if we get both of them.

I would think he is without a doubt a DT. There are some solid OL guys again in 2013, plus he trains (or at least trained) with the Simons. Price's future is on the DL.

There are some good tackles in 2013. Plus we are straight with interior OL especially if we get Lovell.

I say just put Billy at the position he fits best. He looks like a DT or OG and a beast at either. Simon but bigger.

We'll see.

At 6-4 as a sophomore, I think that most teams are expecting to get too tall for DT.
