Remember when I broke my leg,well had a tib~fib fracture with 10 screws & a plate?
Well I had surgery yesterday to get the 7 screws & plate out of my fibula & they scoped around each side of my ankle area & cleaned up some scar tissue!
It is a major owie right now, that is why I am awake at this moment.
I am waiting for the wonderful pain killers to kick in.
It was outpatient, full anesthesia of course. I woke up nauseated of course from it. They had to give me 2 rounds for the nausea, never got sick though, whew!
Two of the screws were starting to protrude from the leg & he said they all need to come out from that side. When I had my hiking boots on they hit the 2 screws & it felt like a mild shock & could not tie my shoe!
The other 3 on the inside of my ankle on the tibia are good, they stay!
I never thought it would hurt this much, but thanks to wonderful medication I will feel great soon.
I do have to wear a walking boot for 5 weeks until those 7 holes in the fibula grow closed & have to use crutches this week to walk with!
Not sure if I will get to a game due to this!:(

Wow, that's rough. Sorry if I missed this, but how did you break your leg? You weren't trying to demonstrate proper tackling techniques to Thad and Nate again were you? :)

Get well soon!

Well I had a bag of magazines on the side of the steps & my slipper caught it as I was walking down the steps & away I went. Only down 2 steps mind you,and no I was not drunk. I probably would not have broken my leg had I been!:wink2:
Rule to remember:"Never leave bags of magazines intended for the trash on the side of the steps"
No,no improper tackling technique demonstrations, would have been a better reason though and more fun:biggrin:! Thanks all for the kind words! Almost time for some more vitamin"P" for pain that is!!:oh:

WElcome back Ellie, I, for one, missed your lilting voice and sexy body.

Yep I bet you do! I did not think it would hurt this bad,but F**K!
I hate that anesthesia too,blah!
Are you behaving? Have not gotten to speak with you lately.
Since we moved our shop it has been so busy,we are in a HIGH TRAFFIC area & average about 4~5 new calls a day & about 5~6 new dogs a week which is very good! We are between 2 shopping centers on a divided Rt.19,so people walk between the two when they park at one or the other & see our signs & walk in! It is exciting as well on the paycheck!

:io:And thanks for the tip! But I have to say, I always put stuff on the side of the stairs in hopes that next trip up, someone in the house will take said item upstairs. Maybe I should rethink that...:)
