OK State by the numbers

A sedate game indeed. Just before the game started I thought to myself that tOSU seemed to be really energized for this game and we just kind of seemed flat. It was a feeling that carried on all night. If any team was to be unfocused, I would have guessed it would be tOSU with all thats gone on this week. Tressel really kept those guys focused, props to him and his staff!

I wish we had given yall a better game.

I'm sure you are. I would be too, to a point. Blowouts kinda lose the excitement for me, regardless of which side I'm on (happens alot for us in Basketball). I would much rather see 4 quarters of solid football from both teams.

The great thing was that the game wasn't even as close as the score (33-7) might indicate. Oklahoma State was literally never in the game. If we had TDs instead of field goals the score could have easily been 49-0.

I don't think the score indicates it was close at all. It was bad.

"If we had TDs instead of field goals the score could have easily been 49-0."
But ya didn't score the TDs, which frankly surprised me. There were times tonight where our D really stepped it up to hold yall to 3.

I think your D stopped us half of the time, and the other half of the time you were introduced to Tressel ball. It's boring. It's slow. It's won us a championship, and should put us in the driver seat for a shot at one next year too. I love tresselball.

edit: I suppose I should clarify what Tresselball is. Once you've got a good lead and your defense is dominating, don't try anything to bring the other team back into teh game emotionally. That's why you saw so many runs on 3rd and 10+.

The numbers would have been even better if they had instant replay. Joe didn't fumble. THe ball came out when he hit the ground. They need instant replay for all the games. Did anyone see the Colorado - UTEP game. Numerous bad calls.
