Ohio State's scheduling big time non-conference opponents

When I hear about teams talking about how difficult their schedule is, it bothers me that Ohio State never gets enough credit for playing big-time non-conference opponents.

Just look at some of those opponents:
LSU 1987 & 1988
USC 2008 & 2009
Miami 2010 & 2011
Oklahoma 2016 & 2017
Notre Dame 2022 & 2023
Texas 2025 & 2026
Alabama 2027 & 2028

The Buckeyes fear no one!!!

I know you said "just some" of those opponents. But here's some more:
USC in the late 80s or early 90s. We got smoked in LA and then lost a close one in the rain at home.
Notre Dame in 95 and 96.
BC in the early 90s. I know they aren't always a powerhouse team, but those games were likely scheduled just after the Flutie years.
NC State in 03 and 04. Same deal - not a powerhouse team, but remember Phillip Rivers? He was no shlub.
Washington State in 02 was no shlub. There was supposed to be a return trip to Washington State, but they became a shlub so Ohio State cancelled that.
Washington in 07 and 08, I believe.
Oregon was supposed to be a 2-game series, starting in 21 or 22, I believe. But then they joined the Big Ten so they cancelled the second game.
Cal in 11 and 12, or something. I'm just kidding. They were terrible.
