Hollenbaugh Punches Ticket to U.S. Open​

Ohio State women's golf junior Kary Hollenbaugh has punched her ticket to play in the U.S. Women's Open later this month.

Hollenbaugh earned her spot in the U.S. Open with a first-place finish at the U.S. Women's Open Qualifier at New Albany Country Club, Hollenbaugh's home course.

After carding a 73 (+1) in the first round, Hollenbaugh fired a four-under 68 in round two to earn her win with a total score of 141 (-3).

The U.S. Women's Open will take place at Erin Hills in Erin, Wisc. May 29-June 1.

Is this thing going to be televised, maybe the B10 channel? What with all the baseball games going on, might be overlooked? Looks like the first four ladies are pretty stout scoringwise. Will take a solid five players to win this puppy. Go bucks!

The NCAA Division I Women's Golf Committee has announced the teams and individuals selected to participate in the regionals of the 2026 NCAA Division I Women's Golf Championships.

Regional play will take place May 11-13 at six regional sites, with 396 participants and each site featuring 12 teams and six individuals. The top five teams (30 teams total) and the low individual not on an advancing team (six individuals total) from each regional site will advance to compete in the national championships to be played May 22-27 at Omni La Costa Resort & Spa in Carlsbad, California. Championship play will be hosted by Texas, with the final three days of the championships televised live by the GOLF Channel.

  • Tuesday, May 26
    • 1-3:30 p.m.

Hopefully the Ladies results will be posted by someone with more skills than I possess. Will be interested in seeing how far they progress in this championships.....as the tournament goes further, those 5 footers start to loom looooonger...go Bucks, Hit 'em long, straight, and not too often.
