The Schott does create a great home environment when it's full. Big games get incredibly loud in there. I have never been to a big game at St. John, but I can't imagine that 19,000 screaming fans is quieter than 13,000.

I beg to differ. The noise level at scUMs poorly designed stadium - at max capacity - is actually less noisier than OSUs at max capacity. Yes, more people create more noise, but the engineering of the stadium must be designed to trap the noise.

I was going to lay off this dead horse but have to take swing at this one.

I held season tickets at St John from Eldon Miller's second season until the move. I have also been at many of the major games in the Schott - including the upset of #1 Illinois.

When things got going you couldn't hear yourself at St John. It was a single constant noise that filled the arena from corner to corner. The place literally shook. I had to take my son to the first aid station for an IU game once to get cotton for his ears. The Schott simply doesn't come close.

That said, St John has seen its day and I will pass on my normal list of other complaints about the design of the Schott. But you are 100% wrong on which can get louder and be more intimidating.

Diebler starts the 2nd half with a 3!

Turnover Carolina.

William Buford with a nice jumper. OSU up 47-25.

Williams for WCar knocks down a 3 to get them going.

Inside to the Mayor on the other end, 2 points and one! Free throw good.

Missed on the other end and Buford with another runner in the lane for the Bucks 52-25 Bucks.

Williams with another 3 for Carolina. Lead cut to 52-28.
Lighty getting involved on the offensive end now. Offensive foul called on Dallas.

Carolina has come out shooting well from the perimeter this half. The Bucks counter by pounding it underneath.

Lead trimmed to 19. Dallas underneath for the jam and a foul! Will shoot one after the timeout. Foul shot is good. 55-33 lead15:30 left.

Craft and Thomas in for Lighty and Lauderdale.

Sullinger rebounds to Buford but he misses the layup on the break. Great pass but poor finish.

Ooh, technical foul on W Carolina. Diebler missed the first free throw. Makes the second. Two uncharacteristic misses today for Diebs. 56-33. Bucks

Still limiting to one and done for Carolina.

Steal and the bucket for Diebler!

Carolina misses, Bucks slow it down.

Feed inside to Jared Sullinger. Basket and 1 yet again. Unstoppable underneath. Missed the and 1. Bucks lead.

Sibert, Thomas Craft back in.

Sibert immediately knocks down the 3 ball from Lighty.

Williams answers with a two for Carolina.

Deshaun Thomas gets fouled on the other end. Shoots free throws and makes both.

Guys on the broadcast havent mentioned the score in over 5 minutes now. lol, someone needs to wake em up. They are pretty excitable though with the play by play.

9:12 remaining. Weatherspoon and Lenzelle Smith in the game now. Good for them.

Sibert, Smith, Weatherspoon, Lauderdale and Thomas.

Woah, Williams tried to get the breakaway dunk but Sibert says "Not in my house'. Gets the foul but nice hustle. Williams makes both.

Sibert, another 3! Really earning the playing time today.

Still one and done for Carolina. Weatherspoon will be at the line. 7:45 left.

Haven't heard one Um from the student announcers.

Nor have I. They are totally involved in the game. Just forgot to mention the score for a while there though.

Alot of freshmen in now.

Buckeyes looking very good today and showing their depth vs an overmatched team from Western Carolina.

Sullinger coming back in for Lauderdale. All freshmen in now. Sweet.

Sibert misses a three. First time today.

Miscommunication. Easy two for Carolina.

Weatherspoon knocking down the 2. Good for him.

3 ball answer by Trey Sumler for Carolina.

Smith running the point. Sully triple teamed underneath, Sibert missed another 3.

Carolina quick miss, Sully with the rebgund. Alley oop for Weatherspoon, just missed it. Sully board, no good. Fouls.

5 mins left. Buckeyes with a comfortable lead. Williams and nice alley oop from Sumler. Really nice game for Williams.

Weatherspoon answers with his own two hand jam. 79-50 Buckeyes. Timeout

How do we get out-rebounded 37-24 by these guys?

FWIW the game will be on BTN Monday afternoon.

Has to be incoorect. They got very very few second chances on the offensive end today. It is correct and I'm totally shocked. We totally dominated the game underneath yet again. Weird.
