Greg Schiano is 'not allowed to comment' on Penn State penalties
The Buckeye defensive coordinator didn't seem to like the two big calls on his group last weekend.

There were two big calls by the referees in Saturday's top-10 matchup between Ohio State and Penn State. Both had the opportunity to change the game.

The first came halfway through the second quarter.

On third and nine, Nittany Lions quarterback Trace McSorley threw a pass towards the corner of the end zone. Both Buckeye safety Damon Webb and cornerback Damon Arnette converged on the receiver, with Arnette in coverage and Webb coming over the top in support.

The result of the play was an interception, but a flag was thrown and pass interference was called, wiping out the pick by Webb and giving PSU a first and goal from the six-yard line.

On the ensuing play, McSorley ran into the end zone, giving Penn State a sizable 28-10 lead.

"I'm not allowed to comment on that," OSU defensive coordinator Greg Schiano said of the play. "Once it was called, I just stopped even thinking, so I didn't even know who they called it on."

Neither did the referees, who originally called it on Webb but changed it to Arnette according to the final game notes.

"We could have still stopped them," Schiano said.
