Can the Buckeyes get back to .500?
The Buckeyes are coming off their worst loss of the young season, a complete pasting at the hands of the UConn Huskies in Connecticut. But now the Buckeyes are back in the friendly confines of Columbus, and will look to get back to .500 and start to potentially salvage this season, when they face the surprisingly decent Northern Illinois Huskies.
Ohio State will need to continue to improve at the little things, like free throw shooting and turnovers, if they want to grab the W. Luckily, the Buckeyes have had success this year against smaller squads, and they should have a height advantage across multiple positions tonight. Look for Daniel Giddens and Trevor Thompson to potentially have a big game on the defensive side of the ball. Otherwise, this could be a repeat of the NIU-OSU football game this season...an ugly game marred by Buckeye mistakes that's waaaaay too close for comfort.
