Ohio State vs. Marshall (2004)

Hey, it was just an idea I was throwing around. It's not like I'm a coach, I can think of crazy stupid stuff with no ill affects. And FYI, I don't live in Ann Arbor any more, I couldn't stand the stink.

Wanna new user name? I can change it for you because quite frankly I don't like looking at it :wink2:

On the last series the D-line and linebackers stopped over persuing and plugged up the middle and forced the RB to the outside. This allowed the safeties outsid LB to come up and make the plays. This stopped the marshall running attack on the last series.

Ok, this may sound crazy, but tell me what you guys think. Since we are loaded at MLB and Frost is a very good prospect at DE, should we try D'Animal at TE. I mean, he is very fast for his size (6'5" I believe), he has a very, very good vertical, and he is very physical. Now I know D'Animal is playing better at MLB then the past two years, but with the Boar hunter and Kerr, we have the MLB depth to move D'Animal.

Maybe it is crazy, but has it been tried? I guess the big question is whether MDA has the hands to be a TE.

Just what the fuck have you been smoking? You've got to be shitting me. This is a prime candidate for the "Dipshit Post of the Month". We are NOT loaded at MLB, seeing as Schlegel has done jack squat and Kerr isn't even a factor right now. D'Andrea is playing exceptionally well and now that's he finally living up to his billing after two full seasons of being on the bench, you want to move him to TE. We are NOT hurting at TE. In addition to Hamby and Frost, we have Nicol, Hoobler (although he is being looked at as a potenial LB), Hoewischer, and Brandon Smith. We are pretty well set at TE.

I guess you didn't read my post fully. I said move Frost back to DE where he was playing very well before the move to TE for depth. And Hobbler would come in as LB. Kerr has not been a factor because he was suspended. You don't think he won't make an impact when he finally gets his chance? Personally, I think he will.

D'Andrea is playing exceptionally
He has played fairly well, but he hasn't shown me anything that makes my eyes pop yet. Don't get me wrong, I think D'Andrea can be an animal if he ever understands the position.

And as far as depth goes, there are more times when we play with two TE on the field at once then we do with two MLB at once. So don't you think you may need a few more bodies at TE then MLB. Anyways, I was just throwing a "crazy" idea out there for some internet talk. I don't think it was worth "Dipshit post of the Month", maybe it's not the brightest idea in the world but neither is throwing a an out route 3 yards short of the first down marker on 3rd down, but coaches still seem to run that play all the time.
