Game Thread Ohio State v Washington 2018 Rose Bowl Pasadena, CA 1/1/19 5pm on ESPN

that's why it needs to be 8 teams. Any of those top 10 trams could beat each other on any given Saturday. Even Bama is beatable from what I have seen out of their back 7 on defense this year.

This subjective beauty pageant that is the SEC/ACC invitational needs to come to a halt after what I've seen from UGA tonight and them almost getting into the CFP with 2 losses, no CC and no quality wins.

Let a few more deserving teams prove it on the field and eliminate the FCS patsies on the schedules.

Back in the hotel

Unbelievable experience

I have a ton of video's and pics, it will take e a while to find a way to share

O-H motherufking I-O

Buckeye Nation is special. All there is to say.
When KJ caught the long pass to set up the score to make it 28-3, I said that you were having a wet dream somewhere in the stands. :gagnam:

Little Jax and I were just above the "N" in Washington end zone, next to Buckeye's tunnel.

Epic crowd around us. Loved every second of it.

Again, Buckeye Nation is special.

So much for our expected 2:1 ratio in the crowd. Seeing more purple than scarlet in those stands

Haven’t read the thread yet. Would say from my seats it was 55/45 60/40 tOSU in the stands. There was quite a bit of purple out there. That said, travel requirements accounted for... it was still a very strong showing from Buckeye Nation.

agreed.

60/40 at absolute best. Don't think it was that heavy for OSU.

UW fans showed, stayed and were loud.

I was impressed

Ok, I thought you were talking about the under thrown ball that he had to play DB to prevent the pick.
Nah that was TD if thrown well but Haskins but too much air under it for not being able to to step into it and it turned into a lolipop. Great play by him to prevent the pick and Good play by the defender to turn and find the ball rather than just panic and plow over the receiver when it was under thrown.

Well good game guys.

Kind of the story of the Huskies year... cept in the 4th quarter we said screw it and opened up the playbook. Ya'll may have let the foot off the gas a bit, but I have a hard time believing there weren't Husky WR's somewhat open over the middle until the 4th quarter. What you saw there was UW's offense for much of the 2016 season. It's a shame we play so conservative all the time.

I figured you wouldn't blow us out... and I'll take a 5 point loss. I was pretty close in predicting the final score.

Haskins was quite good when we sent nobody and he picked apart our zone... he looked not so good with someone in his face... we started blitzing in 4th and it finally threw ya'll off... again, a bummer it took so long to figure out you can give him 6 years to throw the ball.

OSU hit on too many broken coverages over the top... kudos to a hurry up passing offense that kept us off balance.

Rapp not playing killed us... McKinney was absolutely brutal... 2 TD's came off him not diagnosing a route, buying Haskins' eyes and getting to the eventual catch too slow.

Thanks for being such an articulate and, frankly, classy guest. I know it's appreciated by many here. Don't be a stranger.

Dropped passes killed Washington and inept play calling 2nd half killed Buckeyes. Take of 2 halves really. Glad for the early lead and great comeback to make it a game. Respect Washington program and like others have said, don't be a stranger.

This morning, worst day of the year, is also one of the worst days in Buckeye history. It's the first day without any Ohio State football and the first day without Urban Meyer.

Melancholy doesn't do it justice. Beautiful way to go out yesterday but now the sadness is creeping in. :so:

Sad Meyer is gone and pumped for the future. I'll keep mindset pumped for the future

We have about eight months. Plenty of time to work through the stages of grief.

Now that the busy distractions of all the holidays and bowl games (that matter) are over with, it's not surprising that, for some of us, reality has an opportunity, like winter, to set in cold and hard. I don't have a problem with taking the time to sit with the very mixed feelings about the way this season played out. There are definitely aspects of it that warrant mourning. Process it and be done with it.
