The Buckeyes were as busy as ever on the recruiting trail Wednesday, handing out multiple new offers.
Ohio State coaches were all over the road on Wednesday, as the Buckeyes dished out several new offers to prospects in an on-going evaluation period. Adding new names to the board weekly, this coaching staff is showing no signs of slowing down either.
With summer visit opportunities on the horizon, Ohio State will have more time to host many of these top players, but for now it’s out on the road for Day and company.
Here’s some of the latest names to hear from the Buckeyes.
Jaxon Dollar (Denver, North Carolina/East Lincoln)
A 6-foot-5, 208 pound athlete in the 2027 class, Dollar took to social media to share the latest news of Ohio State offering after speaking with position coaches James Laurinaitis and Keenan Bailey.
A tight end that’s already highly regarded, Dollar checks in as the No. 85 player nationally and the fourth-best player at his position per the 247Sports Composite. Holding offers from the likes of Alabama, Auburn, Florida State, Michigan, and a host of others, it’s a fair four-star ranking, and now Ohio State is on the map.
Recruiting North Carolina harder the past couple of cycles, the Buckeyes are determined to make their footprint in the Tar Heel State, and so far so good. Up next will be trying to get Dollar on campus in the coming months.
Kelsey Adams (Atlanta, Georgia/Langston Hughes)
It wouldn’t be a recruiting trip if Georgia wasn’t on the list, so of course Ohio State’s staff was once again back in the Peach State looking for more of the top players from a region that is producing more talent than arguably anywhere else in the country.
Focusing on the offensive line, the Buckeyes picked out 6-foot-5, 287 pound target Kelsey Adams for this recent offer. The No. 49 player nationally and fourth best offensive tackle in the 2027 class per the 247Sports Composite, Adams fits the mold perfectly for what a top national offensive tackle target looks like, and Ohio State is ready to take notice.
Another impressive offer list, Adams has Alabama, Florida, Florida State, Georgia, Ole Miss, Tennessee, and several more under his belt thus far. Like the Buckeyes, more should follow suit. While it’s never easy to land this position, Tyler Bowen has Ohio State ready to shoot their best shot, and so far his recruiting abilities have been a welcomed change of pace.
Joshua Sam-Epelle (Douglasville, Georgia/Douglas County)
Sticking with the theme of Georgia offensive line targets, the Buckeyes double-dipped on Wednesday offering not one, but two players at the same position in the 2027 class. Next on the list, Joshua Sam-Epelle was on the receiving end of Ohio State’s good news, and with his frame it makes perfect sense why the Buckeyes are showing interest.
An impressive 6-foot-9, 340 pounds, Sam-Epelle is an offensive tackle to the purest form. The No. 189 player nationally and 18th best tackle per the 247Sports Composite, this bookend body is exactly what any program in the country would love to see anchoring the trenches.
Holding offers from nearly 30 schools including Alabama, Auburn, Florida, Georgia, Miami, and every other school for that matter, it’s South Carolina so far that has the lone prediction in their favor via the 247Sports Crystal Ball. With plenty of time to go though, Ohio State is hoping to make a play here for the long haul.
Lincoln Mageo (Oceanside, California/Oceanside)
Heading to the opposite coast for this next one, the Buckeyes stretched their presence all the way to California when they offered another offensive lineman in the 2027 class on Wednesday.
Coming by way of Lincoln Mageo, the 6-foot-4, 280 pound interior lineman took to his social media as well to share the latest update in his recruitment. The No. 356 player nationally and 21st best at his position per the 247Sports Composite, Mageo has double-digit offers to his name, and that includes Michigan, Texas, Washington, and others.
The Buckeyes have made their way into California in this current 2026 class a few times now, and would love to keep that momentum on into the 2027 class. These new offers show they don’t plan on leaving any time soon now that this region is in the Big Ten landscape.
Set to announce on May 12, the No. 176 player nationally and 17th best cornerback per the 247Sports Composite has Ohio State in the mix — and possibly in the lead.
Seen on social media shortly after the Kayden Dixon-Wyatt commitment, Thomas was linked to the Buckeyes by multiple accounts, and that would be fitting considering the rest of good fortune this secondary class has had already.
Soon to share the news, Ohio State will hope they see commitment No. 13 in the next week.

Quick Hits
- Landing their latest 2026 commitment this past Sunday, Ohio State has seen its class jump to the third-ranked group overall with just 12 commits in the fold. Looking to add to their impressive haul, the coaching staff might not have to wait much longer as defensive back target Jordan Thomas has a date set for his decision.
NEWS 4-star CB Jordan Thomas will announce his commitment on May 12, @SWiltfong_ reports.
