My main concern now is turnovers. There are two issues im seeing. First is with the guard play, Harris, and more so Lyle, they are often out of control and end up making errant passes. Lyle has the tendency to pre-determine where hes passing regardless of circumstance and that has lead to many of his turnovers. He ends up trying to squeak balls into impossible spots because of that. He needs to try and slow it down a bit, use his big frame, and ultimately he needs to make better decisions on whether to pass or shoot, because so often hes passing up great scoring opportunities for himself (and he can put up 20 points in an instant, we've seen it) The other issue relating to turnovers has to do with the bigs and other players trying to do too much. A good example was from last nights game, Giddens stole the ball and ran up the court to try and score, he tried dribbling the ball through multiple defenders, and lost it just as quick as he got it, and worse yet, Rutgers went down and scored because of that. Again, he just needed to slow things down, make the RIGHT decision and likely end up with a basket from a Rutgers turnover. That's just one example, but similar incidents like that are happening at an alarming rate, and thats when i start to think what if we cleaned up those issues and had 10 less turnovers? I must say, I envision a pretty damn good team! That's what im looking forward to seeing in the remaining games this year leading into next season, can we clean up the turnovers and just show a general improvement in decision making from all players. GO BUCKS!
