Jax, then you should play the over also.
that’s my point.
the O/U being 5 more then the spread is absurd and rare.
Maryland is bad but Rutgers is on another level of bad. If we don’t turn the ball over 70 points again is more likely than not. As absurd as that may sound to say
I was thinking just recently another 70+ game on offense should set a record for most of those in a season for OSU if not for college football. If it only ties the CFB record, then setting it against scUM would make for a most wonderful and magical day in AA.Maryland is bad but Rutgers is on another level of bad. If we don’t turn the ball over 70 points again is more likely than not. As absurd as that may sound to say
And Maryland was a home game where the staff could rotate guys #71 to #122 into the game.
Rutgers will be on the road with the 70 player roster limit. There will be better players playing in the 3rd & 4th quarter.
Actually, Iowa scored right before the half so the halftime score was 56-7.I'll be a little disappointed if we don't match the 56-0 halftime lead we had on Iowa in '95.
Works out to a score of around 55-3 or 56-3.Wouldn’t taking Rutgers and over be a prudent play.
Spread is now 53 with the O/U @ 58.
The only outcomes that would deleterious is OSU 53-57 to 0.
Any score outside that range the max exposure is only the juice.
Yep, and keep in mind that there wasn't a single defensive starter on the field when Maryland scored their two TDs, one of which was on a short field after a long KO return. So, I'd take out those two TDs and keep the two FGs surrendered in the other two games and say that Rutgers will luck out and manage a FG. Our average offense for those three games is exactly 67 points, so a final of 67-3 sounds about right, but then again:Don't over think it.
What teams has OSU faced so far that are most like Rutgers? Miami Oh, Northwestern and Maryland.
76-5, 52-3 and 73-14 respectively
Day might not think that 67-3 would be good enough against a team that had just lost 48-10 to the team we just curb-stomped by 59. Had Dawand Jones not been called for holding on that long TD pass in the third quarter, we'd have hung 80 on Maryland. Aside from the 128-0 win against Oberlin, I think our record for largest win margin-wise ever is the 72-0 win against Pitt. And the most points we've scored in my lifetime is 77. We very well could see both of those broken.Day also knows style points matter for CFP so even when backups go in, there is an expectation of results.
I just got it at -51 at 5 Dimes
Agreed, but OSU needs to take care of Rutgers and Penn State first.scUM....... 52
Rutgers.... 0
Just sayin': We need to beat them by more than 52.
