Finally watching ... love how they used Dobbins and Webb on last drive in 1st Q.
Get that Lightning and Thunder to start peaking for game 8. Weber reminding everyone he's still here. Even with Antonio Williams out we still have a baller for a 3rd string RB
JT still off target beyond 10 but getting better - at least he seems to be developing chemistry with rec corps. Esp Hill, Dixon, McLaurin, Victor - Victor is gonna be a #1, maybe not quite this year but he could peak at the perfect time. Mack pressing too. Parris drops the first really good deep ball JT throws... illegal formation anyway. Dixon snags the next one but pushed off =/ Victor finally makes a deep one count as JT takes a hit. Getting some TE work.
Mein gott in himmel when Parris concentrates on catching then running he does serious damage.
Passpro from previous weeks appears to just be competition level. Rutgers got to JT quite a bit for who they are.
I love seeing Dixon out there. We may not have established a Thomas, Devin, Posey, Gonzo, Ginn, Santonio, Jenkins, Boston, Glenn, Galloway, Graham, Carter kind of #1 ... but there are like 20 #2 guys ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ just gotta find 'em in space [/herbie]
Not sure if CB development is real or just competition level. I thought refs were a little crazy in UNLV game, esp juxtaposing with scUM and PSU games that week o.O
Wade reminds me of Roby. Physical corner solid in coverage holds contain.
These young LBs might be as deep as the DL. Werner you beautiful bastard.
I notice Arnette and Fuller playing long after 2nd team brought in.
Teams are just gonna keep keying off JT on all these read options cuz he cant do damage of Dobbins/Weber and its a free shot on QB. Combined with poor passpro its concerning.
Really starting to think read option pass needs to be developed and go away from the run as Urban's Dave. I know he's talked about it too but guess we're waiting on next QB cycle to do it.
Speaking of which, Haskins looks good.
*disclaimer: this is not a 'haskins should start' remark; just saying future is bright. Feeling good about him and Burrows.
Chris Ash... career killer imo
Just cant see him turning that team around, even with all the local talent. Schiano had some success in the Big East when WVU and Louisville were considered the conference powerhouses. This is a different level.
