The Buckeyes have sent out two new offers to recruits from the class of 2017.

Although Ohio State may not be in top form to start the season, the Buckeyes are still undefeated (4-0) heading into Big Ten conference play, opening against Indiana on Saturday. At least one place where Urban Meyer and his staff have stayed strong in is recruiting. Ohio State has the top ranked class in both 2016 and 2017 and despite plenty of time left for other teams to hit their stride, the Buckeyes show no sign of slowing down or hitting cruise control. It's clear that coach Meyer is having his staff continue to put in a significant amount of time and effort into keeping Ohio State at the top.

In fact, the Buckeyes sent out two new offers on Monday. The first of the two was to '17 outside linebacker/running back Antjuan Simmons. Simmons checks in at 6'1, 205-pounds, and is rated as a three-star under the 247Sports Composite. He is ranked as the 31st best outside linebacker in the country and is the 12th ranked prospect from Michigan at any position.

Extremely honored & blessed to say that I have received my 13th offer from The Ohio State University! pic.twitter.com/Yb4XQS0spG

Simmons currently holds offers from Bowling Green, Buffalo, Central Michigan, Indiana, Illinois, Miami, Toledo, Notre Dame, Western Michigan, and is receiving heavy interest from Michigan, Michigan State, Minnesota, Tennessee, Texas A&M, and Vanderbilt, among others. As of now, it appears the Fighting Irish lead for Simmons' services, with Michigan and Michigan State with an outside shot, according to the 247Sports Crystal Ball.

The second offer to go out on Monday night was to '17 running back Adarius Lemons. Lemons is a 6'1, 185-pound running back that is just reaching the start of his recruitment among some of the national names. For now, he's rated as a three-star under the 247Sports ranking. He also ranks as the 23rd best running back in the country for the class of '17 and the 39th best player from the state of Florida.

Lemons currently holds offers from Florida, Indiana, Kentucky, Louisville, Michigan, South Florida, and West Virginia. It's likely that Lemons recruitment will continue to grow over the next couple of months, especially with an offer from the reigning national champions under his belt - expect to see some more attention paid to the running back in the near future.

As it stands right now, the team to beat is Michigan, who has a clear lead over the rest of the handful of teams. With this most recent offer, it's possible the Buckeyes are trying to make a move towards getting on the top of Lemons' list and perhaps even receive Lemons' verbal pledge (I'm so sorry) down the line. The Gators are obviously the home state favorites, but Lemons released on Monday that the Wolverines are his top team for the time being.
