Ohio State sends out a new offer to a 2017 defensive back from Florida. Plus, see which prospects received visits from Buckeye coaches.

Fagan gets OSU offer

Wednesday morning, it was '17 SAF Cyrus Fagan of Mainland (FL) who announced on Twitter that Ohio State sent him an offer. "It's a great feeling and another blessing," Fagan said in regards to the Buckeyes offer.

Fagan is currently graded as a four-star prospect for next year's class. The 6'0, 170-pounder stands as the 76th best player overall, the 4th best safety in the nation, and the 12th best player coming from the Sunshine State. Despite the fact that Fagan is currently unanimously pegged to be a Seminole at FSU, Ohio State is hoping to jump into the mix.

Coaches on the road

The Buckeyes are still on the lookout for some defensive tackle help in this year's recruiting class. Already in the fold is IMG Academy (FL) DT Malik Barrow and one that is a possibility to join him is '16 DT Rashard Lawrence. The five-star prospect hails from Monroe, Louisiana and that is where Ohio State defensive line coach Larry Johnson was on Wednesday. Johnson, who would surely love to add a prospect like Lawrence to his rotation, made a visit to the Neville (LA) stud in hopes of boosting the chances of playing his ball in Columbus as a Buckeye.

It was reported by 247Sports' Bill Kurelic that Kerry Coombs was making some visits in the state of Michigan on Wednesday. That means he was likely the coach who checked in on '17 DE Corey Malone-Hatcher as reported by his father Orlando Malone.

Finally, Ed Warinner and Head Coach Urban Meyer were in the state of New Jersey to stop in on some prospects, and one of those stops was to Pope John XXIII in the Garden State to see '17 DT Dalyn Wade-Perry. While he is only ranked as a three-star prospect, his offer sheet tells a different story. The 6'4, 310-pounder has offers from Alabama, Michigan, Notre Dame, Ohio State, Stanford, UCLA, and more under his belt.
