Ohio State recruiting: State Secrets - Antwuan Jackson enjoys visit, Michigan offers Matt Bockhorst

Following a loss while entering Michigan week, recruiting is one of the last thoughts on Buckeye Nation's mind. But for Ohio State coach Urban Meyer, this is not an option. Like all things Buckeye football, Meyer has to be ready to go everyday, no matter the circumstances or difficulty. Meyer admitted this in his press conference Monday.
Despite loss, Jackson "had a blast"
This past weekend was a big weekend for Buckeye recruiting, with a nearly 20 recruits visiting The Shoe for the Ohio State vs. Michigan State game. Arguably the most important visitor was '16 four-star DT Antwuan Jackson. Jackson made it known yesterday over Twitter that despite watching Ohio State lose to the Spartans on Saturday, he still enjoyed his visit.
Jackson has been on a tear as of late, and would be a big pickup for the Buckeyes. Over Twitter Tuesday, Jackson highlighted some of his stats through the season. Most notable were the 88 tackles he accumulated this year, with 47 of those being for a loss. He also has sacked opposing QBs 9.5 times and has caused seven fumbles, leading his Cedar Grove Saints to the third round of the Georgia state football playoffs.

The 6'3, 285-pound DT will likely choose between the Buckeyes and Auburn, who Jackson has his last official visit set for. Jackson has said he wants to come to a decision soon, but an official announcement date has not been set.
Bockhorst gets UM offer
'17 Buckeye target Matt Bockhorst received an offer from Jim Harbaugh and the Michigan Wolverines yesterday. The four-star OG out of Cincinnati, Ohio, was offered a scholarship just two days after he attended the Ohio State vs. Michigan State game and just five days before the two arch-rivals square off for the 105th time.
Bockhorst is the No.7 rated OG, according to the 247Sports composite rankings, and is the 13th-best player in the state. Notre Dame is the favorite to land the 6'5, 290-pound guard, but Saturday's unofficial visit was a good opportunity to gain ground in his recruitment. There are multiple schools that have offered Bockhorst scholarships, including Penn State, Michigan State, Clemson and now Michigan.

- Ohio State '16 five-star DE commit, Johnathon Cooper lost a bet over the weekend with classmate Nick Ward, who has committed to playing basketball at Michigan State. The two bet on the OSU vs MSU game and because of the Buckeye loss, Cooper had to wear ugly attire Monday to school.
