Game Thread Ohio State @ Purdue - 10/20/18, 7:30PM (ABC)

I saw that #2 team in the land struggle with IU and Minnesota so on the road at a historic upset voodoo site against a team on par with those other two, gives me pause that is for sure.

On the positive side I will say that if/when OSU players ever get it right between the ears they can beat anyone.

Of all the problems a team can have, under performing superior talent is the best kind of problem to have.

Agreed on both counts

Very concerned about this one

Convinced this team has it in them to pull a 2014

I will add that 2014 spoiled this fan base into thinking that sort of thing is a reasonable expectation

Hoping they surprise me again; without a suicide of a team member this time, thanks very much

Will be following the Buckeyes back to back weeks, as I'll be in West Lafayette for this one as well. Have had some unpleasant trips with L's in 2011 and 2009, but have a couple W's with the blowout in '13 and win against undefeated Boilers in '07 (night game, 5-0, Bucks had full control).

Jeff Brohm is a damn good coach, especially on the offensive side. He'll have a better gameplan and performance than Fleck (Minn) and Mike Debord (IU OC), which is scary. No doubt in my mind he is drawing up anything he can to isolate Rondale Moore on safeties and linebackers. Honestly, he needs shadowed by someone (Wade?), because if he's lined up in the slot getting free, it's going a long way after the catch.

I think you have to expect a shootout. Take care of the ball and answer every score, it's going to be a show.

Best offensive coaching staff and most accurate passer they have faced ytd.

I don't think Purdue has the full set of weapons that PSU did and the QB isn't a run threat so that could actually make it somewhat easier to defend. "Easier" in the sense of keeping Purdue under 30.

Throw in the night game on ancient Indian burial ground and I just worry. I absolutely expect the shoot out we never got at Happy Valley. Weather forecast looks god so far. Maybe some wind.
