I don't mind the "Ring of Years We Remember Fondly". They were Big Ten champions in 2005 and 2008. Nothing to sneeze at. I'd guess they have 2016 on there, too. 2012 baffles me.

PRESSER BULLETS: URBAN MEYER MEETS THE MEDIA FOR FINAL TIME BEFORE TRIP TO PENN STATE

A quick recap of what Meyer said on Wednesday evening:

  • "It's going to be a field-position game." Meyer said the Buckeyes have to take care of the ball and move the chains, can't afford to have 3-and-outs.
  • On the Big Ten East division: "It's a real one." Said the conference is a challenge from top to bottom.
  • Brady Taylor "should be back in about four weeks" after undergoing arthroscopic knee surgery this past weekend.
  • Amir Riep is back this week after missing the past two games with a hamstring injury.
  • On Tate Martell: "Competitive guy, and a guy that wants to play. Dynamic athlete, kind of a cowboy out there, but wants to make a play, and very talented."
  • Meyer believes Dre'Mont Jones' game has "shot way up" this year. Jones made the decision to return this season after considering declaring for the NFL draft.
  • Demario McCall has spent time practicing at both running back and H-back, and Meyer says he is "going to be involved in this game plan" this week.
  • "Mike Weber's ready to go."
