Just sayin': He's had 3 very solid years in the bottom half of singles and as a doubles partner. Do you think he really has elevated his game to be the team's ace like Rola, Tracy, Tropegaad, and Buchanan were?

2025-26 (Junior): 28-6 overall in doubles, 20-4 in duals, 9-1 in Big Ten

2024-25 (Sophomore): Had a solid 21-4 singles record, which included a perfect 17-0 mark in dual singles matches during the spring. Was 11-0 at the No. 5 spot in the singles lineup.

2023-24 (Freshman): Had a record of 11-4 in singles matches and a record of 19-4 in doubles matches

FWIW, tennis does run in Bryce's family, his brother Brandon is currently ATP's #16 singles player in the world. In case you wondered Brandon played at UVa in 2018 - 2019. He was named the 2019 ACC Freshman of the Year and earned All-ACC First Team honors; and then went pro after 1 year.

Buckeye Alum JJ Tracy Claims Third ATP Challenger Doubles Title​

Former NCAA Doubles Champion, JJ Tracy claimed his second ATP Challenger doubles title of the year and third of his pro career at the Tiburon Challenger.

Tracy teamed up with Hans Hach Verdugo for the tournament, where they faced four doubles teams to get the trophy. The pair faced the American duo of Nathaniel Lammons and Jackson Withrow in the final. The two were evenly matched in the beginning, resulting in a 7-6(7) win for the first set. The second quicker went in favor of Tracy and Hach Verdugo with an early break, and resulted in 6-4 second set for the victory.

Tracy now has a career record of 43-42 in doubles pro tournaments, and three doubles titles. Prior to this tournament, Tracy competed in the US Open with Francisco Cabral, where he reached the Round of 16 before falling to the No. 1 doubles pairing in the tournament. On his way to the Round of 16, Tracy faced the duo of Lammons and Withrow in the Round of 32, where he and Cabral bested them in three sets.

The #3 seed is Aiden Kim, #6 is Matthew Forbes, #8 Preston Stearns, with Nikita Filin, Alex Okonkwo and Bryce Nakashima earning direct acceptance via rankings. No other school has more than 3️⃣ players with direct acceptance.
Denis Petak captured an invite with three wins in the qualifying rounds.
