Losses to Baylor and now MSU are necessary growth pains for this team as they must transition from indoors to out.
This week won’t be easy as they take the road trip to Texas A & M, Purdue and Indiana.
Then in two weeks they journey to UCLA and USC.
With the win MSU broke a consecutive Big Ten home win streak (over 100 victories) the Buckeyes have ridiculously held for 23 years!

Buckeyes traveled to Indiana for Big ten match this afternoon.
IU won doubles point
Bucks won all 6 first sets in singles and top 4 courts (Anthrop, Kim, Stearns and Filin) all finished in straight sets to claim a 4-1 road win.

Sorry I can’t answer your questions about the MSU match, when Buckeyes go outdoors it can be a challenge for Stearns, Okonkwa and even Kim.
Byers, Anthrop and Bernard should be more effective.
chatter on the talk tennis site included these observations by Choski 94.

“The MSU match was crazy. Wind over the supposed limit to play outdoors but was told Big Ten made the decision to play outdoors regardless. We were there. Things were flying everywhere. It's a great neutralizer but MSU did play really well, too.”

The wind is an equalizer for sure. Kinda strange to hear the conference made the call. Always thought the wind rule is up to both coaches and they have to both agree to either cancel, reschedule/postpone, move indoors or play in the wind, not the conference. BTW, the wind rule is soft.

“I was told by the facilities director that the Big Ten made the call. And I partially agree with you - wind is part of playing outside but when items are flying and rolling around it can be unsafe. That match went on forever as well because of all the let calls with balls and other items rolling and flying onto other courts.”
