TCUN players were trying to motivate each other the whole match with vocal outbursts which seemed more like classless hubris, extreme and borderline arrogant.
Yet to no avail because they were clearly outplayed (6-2, 6-1) by the dominant doubles performance by what figures to be the number 8 and 9 singles players in the Buckeye 2026 lineup.

It was a great experience seeing former players, family members and fans show up to support the Bucks in the quarters Friday.
So prior to their match i asked some who have seen them develop, “what makes these guys (Filin and Carpico) so good in doubles?”
Answers included, “court coverage, quickness, put serve returns in play, execute at elite levels on break points and hand speed at the net, (they block drives back in play till they get an advantage).
My mental notes during the match,…
1. they make it difficult for opponents to hold their serve. yesterday tcun served 8 times Buckeyes broke 6 times.
2. while neither Buckeye has a weapon for serve, their first serve success rates were outstanding.
3. they are solidly consistent, don't mis hit shots and don’t make unforced errors.
