After the completion of the team tournament the individual singles and doubles tournament begins on Wednesday.
Buckeyes have fared well in the individual portion of the ncaas with blaz Rola the champion last year and Rola and Buchanan the doubles champions in 2012!
Peter Kobelt was selected for the singles draw of 64, and was awarded the #12 seed.
Kobelt was also selected for the doubles draw of 32 teams and here is where it gets interesting.
Kobelt played the fall season and first part of 2014 with Kevin Metka earning enough points to receive the invite as the B1G conference representatives and the #4 seed.
But Tucker changed the doubles lineup in March to pair Kobe with Steinbach. They absolutely dominated at #1 doubles, earning enough points to be selected as first alternates in the main doubles draw....
So a tough choice, enter Kobelt with Metka and take the 4 seed slot, or pair together the "hottest" tandem in the NCAA and risk an early knockout matchup vs. strong opponent.
Fwiw at this level all the teams are capable of winning.
The draws should be posted shortly.
