Tomorrow's semifinal will match the winner of the Illini vs. Tsun against the Buckeyes.
The other quarter link looks highly competitive. Livestats IU vs. UM
I think it would "help" the Buckeye's computer rankings if the Illini advanced.

Kinda gives another reason to root against TSUN

Looking like there might be a number of 3-setters in the Illinois-Michigan matchup--which also helps the Buckeyes, no matter who advances. Any reason they have no score posted for #6 singles yet?

You know how hard it is for members of this site to root for Michigan to lose, don't you? :wink2:

You know the Buckeye men's tennis program has had more of a natural rivalry with Illinois over the past 12 years. Illinois won the B1G championship from 1999 to 2005, and then the Buckeyes prevailed for the B1G regular and tournament titles. The Finals for the past 5 years have pitted the Buckeyes against the Illini. That streak will end this year.
Sometimes it seems like an OSU tennis fan is caught in a quagmire of epic porportion -- Do I really root for the evil nemesis and archrival Illinois?
I mean for a Buckeye it feels like :smash:

I'll guess the reason the #6 single's match is not posting on the livestats is that there were only 5 courts available for singles and they had to wait for one court to finish before they played the #6 singles match.
It looks as if that match copuld be the deciding point.

Why would the Big 10 hold a conference championship tournament at a school with so few courts. It just does not make sense unless Jim Delaney chose Wisconsin.
Yeah they wanted to play home night matches as well.
The tournament has been played primarily at the Neilson Tennis Center. Buckeyes played there today and Hoosiers v. Boilers is at the Neilson Center right now. Link
Tomorrow's semis and Sunday's finals are scheduled for the neilson as well. It is the better of the two tennis facilities at Madison.
Today's quarterfinal between Illini and TSUN was played at the Cole Hall tennis Courts.
I haven't been there, but I am guessing they may only have 5 courts available at the Cole Hall Courts.
The Wisconsin vs. Minnesota quarter just started at Cole Hall. Link
