Ohio State Men's Lacrosse (2013 ECAC Champions)

Awesome! Hope the turnout was good. Was just coaching two games this morning myself. Pounding my chest here, but the other team's coach yelled 'their goalie is playing out of his mind.' To which I replied, 'that's my kid!' Later he ripped a 20 yard high heater on their goalie's weak side for a goal of his own. Proud day for coach and dad. :banger:

Buckeyes season likely over after losing to Fairfield on Wednesday. To make the tourney, OSU really needed to win the ECAC tourney and get the automatic bid. They had a nice season, finishing #2 in the conference, but a rough patch in the middle of the season cost them a shot at an automatic bid.

Congrats to junior Logan Schuss for being names ECAC offensive player of the year. Dude is a stud and a 3-time all conference player. Defender Joe Bonanni (Sr) joined Schuss in earning first team honers. Defender Keenan Ochwat (Sr) and goal keeper Greg Dutton (So, who led the league in save percentage) earned second team honors. Middie Jesse King was recognized on the all-rookie team.

Yeah, that rough patch in the middle of the season def hurt. This team reminds me of the team that I'm coaching (just a lot bigger LOL). They're almost there... Still great to see them playing at a pretty high level. Looking forward to next year.

agree....some really disappointing results for a 6 game stretch spelled desperation for this team. It's unfortunate because this OSU lax team could and has toe to toe with the best teams and been within striking distance.

I'm excited about the prospect of next year with Schuss coming back and some others as well. We should be ECAC favorites next year.

The ECAC looks like it's going to be really tough next year. Loyola is having a fantastic season this year and they're returning a lot of talent. Denver returns a bunc and Tierney really is one of the best coaches in the game. Should be an exciting season. Denver, Loyola, and OSU might able to make a case for an at-large birth in the tourney next year.

I know how you feel. Our kids have the talent to play with anyone on our schedule, they just lack the confidence to do it for four quarters. Luckily they're coming around at just the right time. Peaking at the end of the season is a lot of fun. OSU looked to be doing it. Too bad they had to rematch Farifield a few days after blowing them out.
