So here is one angle to consider: Maryland went to IU last week knowing it was their last best chance to win the 6th game to get bowl eligible.

Really, I’ve been impressed with their resilience in a truly fucking awful situation. Losing a friend and teammate, coaches are a mess, fans have bailed (at no fault of their own).

I do wonder if they still fight or last week breaks them. I don’t think they lay down, personally.

Nor do I. Watching the game against Sparty, if you give them a reason to get hyped up you are playing with fire.

Matt Canada's offense is all about pre snap movement and shifting to confuse LB's (including a healthy dose of jet sweep action to the WR in motion) just to deliver a few simple run plays.

It puts a lot of stress on the defense to play gap sound, assignment football.

P.S. Maryland can't throw it very well at all. Stop the run, play with a lead, pressure that QB and it's good night Irene.

My roommate is a MD grad, so I've seen a lot of MD football (unfortunately). Defense is ok, but has gotten worse as season gone on. Offense is very inconsistent. They put up less than 100 yds of offense against Iowa. If you can contain their run game, it's gameover.

We should be able to score at will. I see this as a 42-21 type game.
