The suspension is a blow to the Buckeyes’ on-court production and leadership. Amongst the team, Williams is the most senior of members when it comes to getting into the game. He’s played in 126 games, starting in 47 of them.

On the season, Ohio State is 19-5 (10-1), and takes on the Illini at the Value City Arena at noon. After Illinois, the Buckeyes are in a primetime showdown with No. 3 Purdue on Wednesday, Feb. 7 at 8:30 p.m. ET.
