Ohio State "Franchise Four"

For me it would be:

Harley
Griffin
Pace
Tatum

I never saw Tatum play as a Buckeye. Barely remember him at the end of his NFL career. But the stories my dad told me about him and the old NFL films reels tell me all I need to know.

Four best players that I've seen play: (Starting around 1986)
Orlando Pace
Eddie George
Shawn Springs
Andy Katzenmoyer

(Ha - I just noticed that my 4 all played in the 90's. Weird.)

Orlando Pace or Jim Parker
Archie Griffen or Vic Janowicz
Marcus Marek or Andy Katzenmoyer
Antoine Winfield or Jack Tatum

PS Unless I'm wrong, Marek is still the career leader in tackles.. and was 1st every year he played

Wow, it took day/page 2 to get to Shawn Springs - This is not easy. No mention of Carter or Warfield or Couisano or Hawk or Jim Tyrer or Pete Johnson, Jim Stillwagon, the Houston boys, Tom Matte and just imagine where Byars would be if not for that broken foot.

Tough to pick just 4...and I don't think anyone has mentioned 3x AA like Doss and Skladaney and Wes Fesler either. So many.

Not to mention Gradishar, LeCharles Bentley, and many more. Hell, has anyone bothered to mention Rex Kern yet?

Warfield was a pure RB under Woody... He blew up in NFL
I wrestled with Kern.. but Schlichter was outrageous in his day and I left him off because of his problems
Spielman, Gradishar, Hawk, Laurenitis.. but Katzenmoyer was pure destruction... so huge and fast; then there is Cousineau and Kumerow
John Brockington was a beast
Chris Ward/John Hicks/Schumacher/Lachey
Galloway and Glenn might be 2 of the fastest kids to ever suit up here with all due respect to Ginn & Gamble
damn it's been good to be a Buckeye fan
