The wife wants to take the kids every year, going down there and baking on the hot asphalt wading through rednecks is just not my bag of tea.
Went last year for the first time in 10 years........As I have always told people no matter how bad or screwed up you think your life is.....go to something like the fair and you will have no problem finding somone worse off than you.
Typically there are lots of women in spandex who are wider than they are tall at the Ohio State Fair. I imagine SIMV's got the season pass . . .
A couple years ago when I went twice, the weather wasn't bad at all. High 70's-low 80's the whole fair.
I do remember like 5-6 years ago. When it seemed like it was hot every frickin' year.

In my opinion I can get the best without the worst at these. I usually try and catch the Union County Fair each year. My folks live up there and so it is a good time to drag out the parents and get some QT in with them and the grandkids.
