The Dispatch reports he could be headed to Georgia Southern.
Former three-star defensive back Joshua Norwood’s time in Columbus appears over.
According to the venerable Tim May of the Columbus Dispatch, Norwood is transferring and is believed to be headed next to Georgia Southern.
Per the 247Sports Composite rankings, Norwood was the number 49th ranked overall cornerback in the 2015 recruiting class. He was the 47th best player out of his native Georgia and the 498th best player in his class.
OSU is turning over their secondary this season, but it never seemed like Norwood was legitimately in the mix. By starting over, he’ll get a chance to reboot his collegiate football playing career.
With the move, Ohio State should be at the August required roster maximum of 85. Potential additional departures are certainly possible after the Summer semester as we get closer to the start of the Buckeye football program’s fall camp.
Best of luck to Norwood on whatever’s next.
