The crowd size, like The Spot, was good.
Ohio State opened the day by stomping all over Michigan’s lacrosse team. Then, they got to enjoy live coverage on BTN while Michigan’s game will have to be broadcasted on tape delay. And once the games wrapped up, they picked up another W over That School Up North.
Ohio State clobbered Michigan in spring game attendance. Michigan reported 57,418 in attendance for their game, while Ohio State had 80,143.
Ohio Stadium, of course, wasn’t at full capacity today thanks to stadium renovations closing some of the upper decks. Before the game, university officials expected a sellout.
It says a lot about the devotion of Buckeye fans that so many are willing to not only attend, but pay (tickets were only five bucks, but still) to attend a giant practice. That helps create a strong atmosphere for the game, helping recruiting efforts. That paid off today, as the Buckeyes have secured two blue-chip commitments today.
Hopefully everybody had fun out there.
