Man...those two losses to Coastal really hurt! We let a couple of really nice wins slip through our fingers. Hard to complain about it too much, though. This team is starting to get it's act together.
Starting pitching has been lights out 7 of the last 8 games. With the exception of Brian King's meltdown vs WMU, starting pitchers have combined for a 1.68 ERA over the past two weekends. Not to mention we've improved out fielding % to .975. In terms of hitting, this is a free swinging team. There are some positives to that approach for sure, but there are also a whole lotta negatives..
Just for fun, here's how some of the B1G teams currently stack up in terms of RPI...and i do mean "currently". On tuesday we dropped from 53 to 86 without even playing a game...the RPI is very volatile this time of year.
