The NFL Draft is right around the corner and over the next few days, the staff here at The Buckeye Battle Cry want to share with you our favorite Buckeye Moments from the draft eligible players leaving the Ohio State program.
Welcome everyone as I am here to give you the top 5 Buckeye moments of Joey Bosa. Joey Bosa will go down as one of the most popular Buckeyes of all time, and not to mention he’s one of the best defensive players to ever play for Ohio State as well.
Joey Bosa was a 5 star recruit from St. Thomas Aquinas (FL) high school. He was the 1st recruit in Urban Meyer’s 1st recruiting class to send in his letter of intent on national signing day. It just went to show how much Bosa wanted to play for Meyer and Ohio State.
Bosa’s career at Ohio State was a very memorable one. His stats might not jump out at you, but there is no denying his unbelievable talent. Teams would have to develop their game plan around Bosa, and he was constantly double teamed with blocks. He was a consensus all american in 2014 and 2015. His career stats are 148 tackles, 51 tackles for loss, and 26 sacks. He forced 6 fumbles, recovered 2, and had 1 career INT.
When I went to find his top 5 Buckeye moments, I wanted to have fun with it, like we all know Bosa would. Without further delay, here they are.
5. “The Shrug” vs OSU Opponents
:: (Its a simple celebration, that we now all love to do)
4. October 25, 2014 – “The Game Ender” vs Penn State
During the 2014 season Ohio State made the trip to Happy Valley to face Penn State. With Ohio State holding a 7 point lead in double OT, Penn St faced a 4th and 6 needing a 1st down to keep the game going. That’s when Mr Bosa decided to end it.
3. November 28, 2015 – “The Interception” vs TTUN
Joey Bosa is a freak athlete. We all know his talent. This next play took place in Ann Arbor and it just shows what Bosa is capable of.
2. December 6, 2014 – “The Scoop-N-Score” vs Wisconsin, B1G Championship Game
The 2014 Big 10 Championship game was a must win for Ohio State. Little did anyone know (even us Buckeye fans) how bad Ohio State would destroy Wisconsin. One of the big highlights of the game was this play.
1. November 28, 2015 – “The Sack” vs TTUN
If you don’t know by now I have great dislike for ttun. I love nothing more than beating them and beating them badly. So my favorite play from the game in Ann Arbor this past season is my #1 highlight for Joey Bosa
They’re still trying to get Jake Rudock (ttun QB) out of the turf
So there you have it everyone. My top 5 Buckeye moments for Joey Bosa. I’m sure there are more, but I love these 5.
Till the next time, Chill!
