It’s still unclear how much time the forward will be out.
The Ohio State basketball team may be without one of their rising stars, as sophomore forward Andre Wesson has spent the summer receiving treatment for a medical issue.
In an article by The Lantern, a spokesman for Ohio State said to the paper that “additional testing will be conducted in the coming weeks” and that the Buckeyes were hopeful that Wesson “will be able to continue his athletic career” this season.
Last season, Wesson appeared in 29 of OSU’s 32 games, and averaged 11.6 minutes per game. Additionally, Wesson shot 36.5 percent from the field and scored a total of 66 points in Thad Matta’s final season at the helm of Buckeye basketball.
Kaleb Wesson, Andre’s younger brother, is also a true freshman on the Ohio State basketball team. Here’s hoping to a speedy recovery for Andre.
