Game Thread Ohio State at Oklahoma, 09/17/16 @ 9:00pm ET, FOX

Do it! Tickets are stupid expensive right now....really hoping they drop during the summer.

Not even our client who is a big name OU guy could get us an inside track on reasonable tickets.
Yeah, I'm hoping a connection on the Ohio State side can snag me and a buddy some away team tickets. We'll see. Looks like it'd be an expensive trip, but when the hell else am I going to visit Norman, Oklahoma?

I am going to officially start the fretting. I find it unfortunate that the Sooners play Houston before tOSU. Since I would imagine that Houston is running an offense somewhat similar to tOSU, they get a chance to see what that offense will do and what problems they have stopping it. Mistakes that tOSU may want to exploit after watching the Houston/Sooners game tape may be fixed by the time the good guys get to town.

Conversely, UH does not have the horses OSU does. So if there is some success in certain aspects of the offense, maybe OSU can exploit them. Or Meyer can talk to Herman and/or watch film about what worked, countered, or just wasn't executed properly. Game plan may be similar, but talent is not. I'm sure UH has more experienced players (what school doesn't after the draft), but they play in week 1. OSU gets them in week 3 and has some game film to watch over to adjust and get better.

TBH, I don't expect a win, but I would not be surprised if one happens.

This will be the mantra for a while but it comes down to the OL imo.

Things to feel good about is that OU's not exactly known as an extremely hostile environment nor for their big game prowess. Additionally, I don't know who returns but their Dl from last year wasn't exceptional according to FBO

Look like they had an especially hard time with power running games.

Overall, I won't be shocked if OSU loses nor will I be shocked if they win (if that makes any sense). I do think OU is about as good a premier, OOC road matchup as we could ask for.
