A pair of prospects named the Buckeyes on their potential college list over the weekend.
With Nike’s The Opening going on in Oregon, of course some kind of Ohio State related recruiting news broke this weekend.
Planning to announce his verbal pledge relatively soon, four-star wide receiver Elijah Moore let the world know on Sunday morning that he will continue his education and football playing days at either Ohio State, Miami, or Ole Miss when he decides on his final choice.

The 5-foot-11, 170-pound Moore, who attends St. Thomas Aquinas High School in Fort Lauderdale, Fla., has been linked more with the aforementioned Hurricanes and Rebels than the Buckeyes, but OSU does have one thing going for them: their pipeline into the Raiders program.
Even though all signs definitely point towards Moore staying closer to the Sunshine State at the moment, Ohio State has a lot of success recruiting players from St. Thomas Aquinas to come to Columbus.
In recent years Joey Bosa, Nick Bosa, Damon Arnette and Trevon Grimes are just a few of the players the Buckeyes successfully plucked from the national powerhouse Raiders.
At least one future Buckeye is trying to recruit Moore to join him in Ohio State’s class of 2018. Five-star defensive end Brenton Cox didn’t shy away from telling Elijah where he thinks he should end up when it’s all said and done.
Taylor names top 10
In what is becoming a near daily occurrence, the Ohio State football program once again finds their name on the current leader list of a top rated recruit.
Dropping his top 10 via his Twitter page on Saturday, four-star rated tight end Leonard Taylor, who is also talented enough to end up playing on the defensive line on the college level, announced he is considering not just Ohio State, but also Alabama, Louisville, Michigan, Cincinnati, Wisconsin, Tennessee, Penn State, Oklahoma, and the University of Kentucky.
Once thought as a near lock to verbally commit to Ohio State after decommitting from Michigan early on during the recruiting process, the 6-foot-5, 246-pound Springfield (OH) standout has recently been looked as a Kentucky lean.
Buckeyes offer 2018 forward
One-time verbal pledge Dane Goodwin of Upper Arlington wasn’t the only class of 2018 prospect to check out the new Ohio State basketball program over the weekend. While in Columbus to get more familiar with Chris Holtmann and the Buckeyes, senior small forward Talen Horton-Tucker left the 614 with a scholarship offer to suit up in the Scarlet and Gray.

A three-star rated prospect from Chicago’s Simeon High School, the 6-foot-5, 210-pound Horton-Tucker, who is currently considered the 59th small forward and 253rd overall prospect in the class of 2018, per the 247Sports Composite Rankings, now reportedly holds offers from the likes of OSU, DePaul, Iowa State, Missouri, Northwestern and Xavier.
Helping lead Simeon deep into the Illinois state playoffs last season, Talen averaged 12 points, six rebounds, and three steals a contest for the 27-4 Wolverines as a junior.

- Big time 2018 Ohio State target Anthony Cook told Scout.com that he will name his top three soon. The five-star cornerback from Houston, TX, has had many Buckeye fans sitting with their fingers crossed ever since his visit to Columbus in the spring.
