Ohio State 87, Presbyterian 43 (Final)

So, with the score 76-38, it looks like the Bucks will win by around 40. What do we take away from this? They beat a 1-10 Presbyterian team. How did it look?

Butler is heating up. He's scored the last 8 points. 78-40 now.

Regardless of the competition, shooting over 70% from the field is impressive, I personally saw improvement in the area of playing as a team and having intensity for most of the game.

COLUMBUS, Ohio (AP) -- Kosta Koufos scored 21 points including nine in a 16-0 first-half run, to lead Ohio State past Presbyterian 87-43 on Saturday.
Jamar Butler had 16 points and eight assists and Othello Hunter added 13 points for Ohio State (6-3), which shot 71 percent from the field after making just 36 percent of its shots over its last three games.
Pat Kiscaden scored 18 points -- all on 3-pointers -- for the Blue Hose (1-11), a Division II team in the first of a four-year transition to NCAA Division I status.
The Blue Hose have won their last eight home games, but have played only once at their arena in Clinton, S.C., so far and play 25 of their 30 games this season on the road. The game at Ohio State's Value City Arena -- played before a sparse crowd because of a heavy snowstorm that hit an hour before the opening tip -- was their third stop in a season-long 11-game road trip. In 20 minutes, Koufos hit all but one of his nine shots from the field, his only 3-point attempt, four of five free throws and had three rebounds.

I watched this game at Captain Curt's in Siesta Key, Florida, so I couldn't hear the announcers or pay attention as well as usual, but OSU seemed to have more hustle in terms of rebounding, and the press gave Presb. many headaches.

Nice to see them make some shots consistently!

Ohio State's Jamar Butler (14) and Kosta Koufos defend Presbyterian's Ryan Lamb. Koufos bounced back from a bad game to score 21.

Thad Matta spent the morning inside the Schottenstein Center, oblivious to the snowstorm brewing outside until someone told him. Naturally, he turned it into a positive with his players.
"I told them right before we went out ? I'm almost excited because nobody will be able to make it to the game," Matta said. "I said, 'You guys play your tails off in practice, so we're just going to take this as a glorified practice with uniforms.' "
With Presbyterian College, a first-year NCAA Division I team, playing the role of the Washington Generals, that's what it turned out to be yesterday afternoon in Value City Arena.
Ohio State fell behind 14-11, then scored 41 of the next 47 points and rolled to an 87-43 victory.
The Buckeyes' most lopsided win since a 47-point rout of Santa Clara in 2001 was a welcome change of pace for a team that had scored 55 points or fewer in four of its previous five games. The Buckeyes (6-3) shot 71.4 percent from the field, equaling the second-best percentage in program history and an arena record.
Seven-foot freshman Kosta Koufos scored 21 points after his lack of aggression got him benched for the final 13 minutes of a win over Coppin State on Monday.
