Ohio State 65, Northwestern 47 (final)

Thank god Northwestern blows....

We really have to get it together soon.

We might be winning, but its not by our doings.

NW is missing shots from 4 feet away, and its not our d that has limited thier scoring.

Granted we've won, but it's time to impress. We've now got to KILL Michigan (we all like to see it anyway, but I mean like 400-0). And 2/4 as they've been discussing will probably get us to the tourney, as long as we don't turn the ball over and play shit defense like tonight.

Ah well, if not, I can't be mad, losing Greg, Mike, and Lewis.

Go Bucks!:oh:

David Lighty was one of my favorite players from last years team, but over the last 6 games hes only been averaging 6ppg. I know his defense outstanding and everything but I think it would be nice to start Diebler at sg and have Turner play at sf. Turner and Diebler play well together, and when Diebler has his shot like he does right now, I personally don't think he can get the ball enough. Just a thought,... but Thad knows best.
..and gratz to Matta on number 200

Grats to Thad, I really like him.

As far as our chances, it all depends on bench points now. Diebs can shoot like tonight, and we stop the turnovers, I can see us winning 2/4 of the big ones, perhaps 3/4.

I also hate to be the negative Nancy, but defense was the worst of the year. Thankfully, we played the shit.

At this point I would rather go with Diebler off the bench...That gives more spark off the bench in terms of scoring moreso than Lighty would...

But I agree ride the horse until they stop falling...

But Defense is the least of my concerns right now...4 guys in double digits is a step in the right direction IMO...

I agree. We won but Northwestern was missing some easy shots and we turned the ball over way too much. Also, Butler is going to have to dribble inside the 3 point line at some point in the near future. He did not penetrate 1 time this game. Thad brought in Hill midway through the second half... Butler was pretty much sleepwalking at that point.

Great job by our Big Men tonight. They carried us. Kosta and Hunter were pretty dominant.

How did Hill look...Did he look under control...

Anytime we can break 60 we have a good chance and tonight was no exception. It didn't hurt that this was the lowest home output for NU, held under 50 for only the second time this season.

Need another win at scUM Sunday before taking on the big boys of the conference. :osu:

Hill looked OK, he had one sloppy turnover and didn't really seem to have enough time to get into the flow of the game. But honestly it didn't seem like the team was in much of a flow as a whole until the last 8 or 9 minutes.

I think Hill needs to get more time on the floor. A PG needs game time action more than anyone in order to get a feel for his teamates and how to create opportunities for them. With the few minutes Hill is getting there is no way that he can have a feel for running the team.
