Game Thread Ohio State 58, Northwestern 7 (final)

Henton is in the game. :)

1st: give to MoW for 2.

2nd:  ball fake to MoW, QB keeper for 10 or so. that's a zone read look we haven't seen this year. :)

1st: that play didn't work at all. another zone read look. Dukes is getting some PT. that's a nice sign.

1st: nice option counter look for about 4. we are running a TOTALLY different offense with Henton in the game.

2nd: roll-out right complete. don't know who to or how far. the announcers blow. looks like about 9.

3rd: complete to the TE underneath for a first. Henton went through his reads nicely on that play.

1st: QB keeper all the way for a pick up of 9. Henton showed some toughness on that run.

2nd: Williams with a carry for the first. is he a walk-on?

1st: delay of game. oops. he was checking off, but didn't pay attention to the clock.

1st: crap. MoW fumbles ahead for 4. picked up by NU.

did i mention that we run a totally different offense with Henton in the game?

Obviously they are trying to save Boom Herron's redshirt. In a 52-7 game in the third quarter with currently only one healthy scholarship running back, the Bucks bring in a walk-on instead of Boom. It might be tough to get a his redshirt intact in Beanie is out for any amount of time though. No way, we can only go with Mo Wells as the only healthy back...

I wish Tressel would only stick with draws, sweeps, and scree passes for Maurice. I'm going to continue to beat this dead horse because it drives me crazy. A hand-off up the middle hasn't and never will work with Mo.

FYI, I don't blame Mo for that fumble. It's always hard to hold onto the ball when someone gets a helmet on it.

i kinda chuckled when JT said that we need to get better in the 2nd half.

now i realize what he meant. we still need to be able to put together two clean halves, even with 2nd 3rd stringers in there.

for those watching on TV, how physical does NW look compared to youngstown, akron, and UW? is that why guys are getting banged up, or is it because we've been playing all out not really getting any resistance?

Looking waaaaaaaaaayyyy down the road, we need to develop Henton more to use him as a weapon against scUM. They've clearly had trouble with mobile QBs and spread formations.

1st: tripped up in the backfield. Heyward disrupted things.

2nd: delayed blitz. pass incomplete because Bacher was getting blasted, but the WR was WIDE OPEN.

3rd: roll-out right, incomplete. could have been caught, but i don't think it would have been enough for the first.

32 and out.

BLOCKED! Larry Grant! he took the ball right off is foot!

Buckeye ball at the one!

over the top for a TD! MoW!

will we crack 60 for the first time in the Tressel era? there's an awful lot of time left...

crap. bad snap. i've never seen a team have 58 points before.

Too bad I don't get points for yardage against or sacks for the Buckeye defense in fantasy league. What a complete domination for the defense today. I'm guessing its safe to say we'll be ranked #1 total defense after this weekend!
