If they are going to play that way, the d-line needs to be in the QB's face. I don't think that's the strength of this d-line right now.

It has to be based on the offense you are playing against. When you are playing a team that has quick read and react throws then you just can't play that far off the receiver.

shooting for too many plays 10+ yards from the LOS just hit them for 5 and let the skill players try to break a tackle.

Like said, nothing is working on offense. Our Line is getting worked too.

But first game, against a MAC team. We just need to wake up

We also got our asses beat that game.

Hopefully this is just jitters. Once we get a good drive going, I think this team is going to be fine.
