Not that there is any point to this...I just found it interesting, because this USC vs Ohio State game is drawing comparisons to the OSU vs. Texas games as far as hype and such.

Number of post in the 2005 Texas game thread by the end of July: 2,173
Number of post in the 2006 Texas game thread by the end of July: 4,386


This is post number 1,387.

I am more hyped about playing USC then I was to play Texas. But that's just me.

I don't think the fanbases like each other enough to really discuss it. There is more history (short and long-term) between SC and OSU than OSU and Tx. Anyone who visited the old bucknuts recruiting board back in January/February 04 or 05 knows that the two fanbases don't mix.

The OSU presence on WeAreSC has been likewise underwhelming, and in fact practically non-existent until maybe a week or two ago.
