The Buckeyes were seen as 7-to-1 favorites entering the week. Those odds are now 8-to-1 leading into Saturday.

While the Ohio State Buckeyes still have the sixth best odds right now of winning the College Football Playoff National Championship, their odds have slipped a bit since Monday.

When the week began, the Buckeyes had 7-to-1 odds of winning it all; now, those odds are at 8-to-1 heading into the Big Ten Championship Game clash with the Wisconsin Badgers.

Like Ohio State, the Badgers’ odds have dropped, too. On Monday, Paul Chryst’s program was seen as 9-to-1 favorites. However, those odds are now at 12-to-1. Additionally, the Buckeyes have maintained the line as 6-point favorites for Saturday night’s game in Indianapolis.

Heisman favorite Baker Mayfield and his Oklahoma Sooners have the best odds right now to win the title at 15-to-4. Tied with them at the top are the Clemson Tigers and...Alabama Crimson Tide.

Here’s a breakdown of the 10 teams with the best odds of winning the whole enchilada on Jan. 8 in Atlanta:


The teams with the best odds to win the title also, unsurprisingly, are seen as favorites this weekend. Clemson is favored by 10 points over Miami in the ACC title game; Oklahoma is 7 1⁄2 point favorites against TCU in the revival of the Big 12 Championship Game; and Auburn has pushed the line to 3-point favorites over Georgia, who will be playing in a practical home game in Atlanta for the SEC Championship.
