Another week, another conference honor for the true freshman who is already a favorite of Buckeye Nation.

Ohio State’s Week 3 win over Army wasn’t enough to keep the team from sliding in the polls, but it was enough to earn some conference recognition. Phenom J.K. Dobbins was named the Big Ten Freshman of the Week for the second time this season.

Dobbins finished Saturday with 172 yards and two touchdowns -- including an incredible drive that saw the Buckeye break away for 52-yards and a score.

It only took three games for Buckeye Nation to be won over by a true freshman running back, and with moves that could kill, Dobbins is on his way to a potentially historic career at Ohio State. The rusher made school history in his collegiate debut (with 181 yards on 29 carries), scored his first touchdown in Week 2, and continues to collect conference awards.

Dobbins will have a lot of competition for best running back in the conference -- even for best freshman running back over the next few months. Not only is he competing with junior stud Saquon Barley (of Penn State), but also with freshman Jonathan Taylor out of Wisconsin. Taylor rushed for 223 yards for the Badgers in his first career start last week and took home two Big Ten honors as a result.
