At 6-to-1 odds, Dobbins is leading the pack with Wisconsin RB Jonathan Taylor.
On Tuesday, Bovada released their early odds for who they thought would win the Heisman Trophy next season. Stanford running back Bryce Love led the pack at 7-to-1 odds, while Ohio State’s J.K. Dobbins had the fifth best odds at 12-to-1.
Oh, how things can change overnight.
By Wednesday, the odds took a dramatic shift. Dobbins charged up to the top of the odds table, and now sits as a 6-to-1 favorite. He’s not alone at the top of the Heisman odds board, though. Wisconsin RB Jonathan Taylor, who was named Big Ten Freshman of the Year this past season, also has 6-to-1 odds at bringing home the coveted college football trophy. Prior to Wednesday, Taylor had the second best odds at 8-to-1.
Dobbins isn’t the only Buckeye on the shortlist with Heisman odds, either. Defensive lineman Nick Bosa shows up on the Bovada list at 75-to-1 odds. Those odds have remained the same over the past couple days.
Love’s odds remain unchanged at 7-to-1, and he now sits with the third best odds in the field. Behind him in fourth is Alabama quarterback Tua Tagovailoa, who guided the Crimson Tide to a dramatic second half comeback against Georgia in the national championship game.
Below is the table of Heisman odds.
