Some say College Football Playoff, while others say Fiesta Bowl against Notre Dame or Washington

These are getting a tad bit more fun to do. A few weeks ago, one of the bowl projections for the Ohio State Buckeyes pointed to the Citrus Bowl; now, once again, all the analysts/writers in this week’s bowl prediction round-up have the Scarlet and Gray in either a playoff game or a New Year’s Six bowl contest.

Let’s get this show on the road, and see who is believing in a College Football Playoff appearance for the Bucks.

Jerry Palm at CBS Sports has been a believer for the past few weeks. This week, it’s the Rose Bowl (again) as the projected landing spot for OSU in the postseason. He also reiterates the belief that a rematch with the Penn State Nittany Lions would happen in the Rose Bowl—meaning he has OSU winning on Saturday vs. PSU.

SB Nation’s own Jason Kirk also has Urban Meyer coaching the team back to the playoffs. Like Palm, Kirk’s matchup has a rematch flavor in the Grandaddy of them All.

Whether it’s the Oklahoma Sooners or Nittany Lions, a rematch seems to be in store for the Buckeyes—if everything else goes according to plan.

ESPN’s Kyle Bonagura has the Buckeyes in the Cotton Bowl, but their opponent would be Notre Dame, the same foe they faced in the 2016 Fiesta Bowl.

David Hale has an Orange Bowl appearance for OSU, with Miami getting a virtual home game. It wasn’t too long ago that the Buckeyes were in this bowl. In 2014, Meyer’s first bowl appearance as head coach of Ohio State was an Orange Bowl.
