I didn't want to start a new thread on this but I thought this was an interesting blurb from the PD about the HS speed in Ohio this year

A whopping 11 players

sprinted 40 yards in 4.4 seconds or less during a recent football scouting combine for area high-school juniors at the Browns complex. The combine attracted numerous top players, including Fred Lenix (Glenville) and Ryan Brinson (Canton McKinley).

I heard that the 4 x 200 relay was going to be added to states. Is this true? Ted Ginn's hurdle time are ridiculous.
yes, it's true. Glenville should have a pretty decent team, considering they now have 4 guys on the team who ran the 200 at state last year.

How can 6'2" be in the boys final? For state? That's crazy talk. I jumped 6' as a freshman and quit because I came in 5th at my first meet at Kent Roosevelt. Dudes were all jumping over 6'5". Man. I could've gone to state and come in last!

That Roosevelt meet was so deceptive and obviously my track coach thought I was more cut out for football and basketball only. :boohoo:
