Game Thread Ohio at #1 tOSU, Sat. Sept. 13th, 7 ET on Peacock

they couldn’t stop Rutgers through the air and we are going to pretend they’ll have anything at all for this passing attack?

I do anticipate being annoyed by their QB but that’s about it. Similar to Toledo from years ago. If we shut down this Bobcat offense who at least has a dual threat experienced QB then I’ll feel pretty damn good rolling into Washington who I think will be one of our top 2-3 toughest games this season (who will absolutely have the most unique QB we play all year).

I’m thinking 45-13 or 49-17. So sure I anticipate them to do better than Texas but wouldn’t be surprised if they keep their starters in vs our backups to get a cheap score or two.

That fanbase is almost as fun to make fun of as Penn State fans are.
I'll be in the house, making fun of all the fans that are routinely spelling out the name of their opponent.

In many ways it is a shame that Ohio State is at the height of its powers, because this is the Ohio team that could’ve gotten one of those Tressel or Fickell vanilla punt-forward sleepwalking teams 15 years ago.
I have my doubts about Fickell's 2011 team losing to Ohio. But none of those Tressel-led teams that played in (and won many of) BCS bowl games would have lose to Ohio.

Win this game and I will be fine with not winning another game for the rest of the decade. That's how badly I want to shove it in the face of the most pretentious, obnoxious fanbase in the history of the world. I've prayed to every Deity that I can think of to make this happen.
Haha. No one cares.

34.5 is bull5hit, excuse my French.
If they were playing WVU the line would be half of that.
And we just beat WVU if I recall correctly.
Please respect us!!!

At the very least, I hope OUr guys come to play and don't allow them to run it up.
Ha - "OUr". That's not a typo. They do that.
Also, you don't have to "allow" Ohio State to run up the score. It'll happen anyway.

I also hope we force those that claim to be fans of both teams to pick a side. I'm sick of hearing this "house divided" BS. I can give a little slack to those with degrees at each but if you got your undergrad at OU, shame on you. I said what I said.
Good strategy. Is anyone going to choose Ohio over Ohio State, if they're fans of both? "I used to be a fan of both. I had fun watching Ohio State win championships. But then someone told me to choose one so I chose Ohio. Now my team is on par with Purdue or Minnesota. And that's on a good year for Ohio."

Are the bands playing together?

Not sure how I feel about this...would like to see our superior band and style stand on it's own as a direct contrast to OSU's "normal" style.
Not that I follow marching bands, but this is the first I've heard that Ohio's band is superior. Ha.

Our fan base is full of idiots and douchebags. I was sitting near several last weekend who complained.....in the 4th quarter of a 70-0 game......about what they thought was an offsides on us (it was a false start on Grambling).

That said....when an Ohio fan whines about "the most pretentious, obnoxious fanbase in the history of the world", what percentage of that comes just from rooting for the Washington Generals to our Harlem Globetrotters? Of course you're going to find it obnoxious when one team is a professional juggernaut and the other team is thrilled when somebody gets drafted in the 6th round. But that's like moving next to an airport and getting mad at the noise. This was your choice.

Making my first game since 2015. Hope to be in Columbus by 2pm. Suggestions for parking at that time would be appreciated. Don’t judge me. lol. I’m getting old and getting around is not as easy as it used to be (damn you diabetes).
Like I always tried to park at the Lane Avenue garage. Would that be filled up by 2pm?

West campus parking has a shuttle. 6 hrs before and 1 hr after. Or park at a nearby hotel and uber in/out.

I like to park on the northeast corner of Kenny and Lane Avenue. $20. It's a bit of a walk, though.

Think I’m good up to a mile to walk in each direction as long as I don’t have to climb hills. Think I’m going to try West Campus and shuttle. If memory serves me correctly it’s 315 north to Lane Avenue and then left on Lane and pretty much follow the signs ?
